Dry Abrasive Blasting
This time-tested method is the workhorse of our industry. We utilize traditional blast pots of all sizes and automated equipment to achieve optimal results, minimizing downtime while maximizing production. Our units are regularly upgraded to meet current safety, reliability, and production standards and expectations. Wet/Vapor Abrasive Blasting
An environmentally friendly option for abrasive blasting is wet/vapor abrasive blasting, which uses water and sand under pressure to prepare the surface. By minimizing dust that is created by dry abrasive blasting, this method eliminates the need for containment while reducing clean-up costs. This system is ideal for pipelines, spheres, vessel tanks, concrete, and other surfaces normally dry blasted, providing the same profile and cleanliness using water technology.
Vacuum Blasting/Power Tooling
Vacuum blasting and power tooling are practical and sustainable options for removing hazardous materials from your facility. As the name suggests, vacuum blasting/power tooling blasts or mechanically removes hazardous materials from the substrate while providing containment during removal for disposal. This process makes these methods safe and ideal for small, sensitive environments.
High-Pressure Water Blasting
Cor-Ray Painting has extensive experience using water blasting as a safe, effective way of removing a wide range of contaminants from concrete and steel surfaces. Pressure washing allows us to prep a surface, effectively eliminating loose rust, dirt, previous coatings, loose scale, and foreign matter that would otherwise be detrimental to surface preparation. We use hot, cold, and steam water washing to meet the demands and needs of our customers.
Lead Abatement
Lead-based paint coatings provided superior corrosion resistance until 1978, when the federal government determined lead was a health risk and legislatively dictated that lead be removed from all paints. Obviously, that leaves countless steel structures, tanks, pipelines, power generating stations, and refineries, just to name a few, with hazardous, lead-based paints requiring remediation.
For decades, Cor-Ray Painting has safely and effectively abated lead and other heavy metals from structures and environments of all sizes and complexities, diligently abating hazardous materials from job sites safely and professionally.
In addition to our standard safety training, all lead abatement personnel undergo extensive training in lead awareness and hazardous waste disposal, including supervision by a certified Lead Competent Person, SSPC C5, Supervisor/Competent Person Training for De-leading Industrial Structures.
